- Even more interior work...

More interior work today. The interior is basically, almost finished. I installed the drivers seat finally. The one thing I wasn't thrilled with was having to drill holes in the floor boards. The cage nuts for the original seat bolts were ripped out by the previous owner. So, I had to drill holes and install new bolts with washers, etc. I also trimmed and installed the carpet in the rear of the drivers side, the threshold, and installed the finishing cap. The only thing in the interior left for me to do is replace the speaker grill bolts, install a piece of black fabric behind the grill, install all the little screw caps and then detail the entire inside. THe drivers seat IS in good shape, but it does show some wear when compared to the passenger side. At some point I may try to find a replacement seat back, but it's still decent for the time being. I also installed a new 968 parknig brake, installed a new parking brake cable, and put everything back together. My next plan is to finish up with the motor and get it running well. I'll then take it to the Porsche dealership and have them change out the belts (I'd rather it be done with a warranty). Then I'll replace the pads, rotors and a few odds and ends in the suspension, clean the ENTIRE car, and then send it off to Macco to give it the "Ambassador" paint job (about $500-600 bucks). It should come out pretty decent, and it will be a really fun car to drive.
