Trees / Plants In My Backyard      When I first moved to this house, I wasn't particularly that interested in plants or really growing anything at all. I originally had two massive black olive trees growing in the front yard, so growing anything (let alone grass) was just short of impossible. When hurricane Wilma hit Florida, it knocked over both trees and opened up the entire front yard. We also lost a couple of smaller trees in the backyard as well. To make up for the loss of nearly 20% of the trees in suburban Florida, Broward county offered a free tree giveaway. This giveaway was every other weekend at the local parks. My father and I both took advantage of this in order to get as many free trees as we could. In the sections below, I will show all the plants I've aquired, bought, or grown from seed.
