First road test of the Porsche 944...
I've now owned this car a little longer than 15 months at this point. I was pretty excited to take it
for it's first road test. There are still several things that need to be done before I feel comfortable
taking it longer distances, these include the front spoiler, front bumper, steering (fix power? Or replace with manual?)
and not the least of course is getting a valid tag on it. I was pleasantly surprised at the power it had. I wasn't
expecting much, but I think that when I get all the bugs worked out, I can probably expect consistent mid-15s in the
quarter mile from this car. A few things I noticed on my drive: tires are out of alignment, fans never come on so the car will
eventually overheat if I keep driving, steering wheel is off 30 degrees, and there is a fair amount of vibration at 900-1000 rpms.
I took a quick picture of the car parked in the cul-de-sac while I worked on my Crown Victoria.
